Whether
your favorite activity is swimming, body surfing, wave running, rafting,
kayaking, boogie boarding, or building a sand castle, we offer 330 feet
of clean white sandy beach that your family will enjoy. But the beach
is not all we have to offer...
Located just 2 blocks from the main thoroughfare of downtown Oscoda, we are adjacent to the Oscoda Beach Park. The park offers something for all ages including shade trees, slides, swings, fishing pier, merry go round, basketball court, and a skate park with ramps for the boarders in your family. Live bands and art fairs are commonplace in the summer as you walk the boardwalk in the park from Thomas' to the fishing pier.
Rest and relaxation is mandatory, but when you get a little red from the sun, Thomas' offers more than just the natural beauty that encompasses our 5 acre resort. Take a break from your day on the beach to stroll into town for shopping, ice cream parlors, restaurants, sports bars, live entertainment, workout facilities, and miniature golf. Unwind by the fire with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach as you savor a BBQ, or play a game of horseshoes. For early risers, the fishing pier is only steps away, or the Au Sable River has fishing charters available for Great Lake deep water trolling. We also offer volleyball, sailing, surfing, water skiing, snorkeling, jet skiing, horseback riding, trail riding, and golf at 4 nearby 18-hole courses.
Want to bring your boat? We have a slip at the mouth of the Au Sable River for guests only, or we have room for parking her on a trailer for launching.
Need a little bonding time? Walk on the beach and enjoy this tranquil sanctuary with the kids or your significant other. Thomas' is about 1/2 mile hike to the mouth of the Au Sable River by way of the beach. An amazing walk!
Rainy day? We have a local bowling alley, movie theater and nightspots for your amusement, or a library of books for you to peruse.
There's something for everyone at Thomas' in Oscoda!
